It’s official: West Ham United have completed the £40 million pound signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Max Kilman.
The club began teasing the news early this morning, and the deal has now been rubber-stamped.
“It’s an amazing feeling to be a West Ham United player,” said the former Wolves man.
“As soon as I was aware of the interest from the club, it was an opportunity I was keen to pursue, so I couldn’t be more delighted to be here.
“I really enjoyed working with Julen Lopetegui during his time at Wolves – he’s a top-class coach and someone I learned a lot from, and I am confident I will continue to improve as a player under his management here.”
Kilman added: “West Ham is a massive club, and I feel this is the natural next step forward in my career.
“Playing in front of a passionate fanbase, with 62,500 supporters packing out London Stadium every other week, is something I am incredibly excited about.
“Having spoken at length to both Julen and Tim Steidten, I was hugely encouraged about the ambition of the club and their plans for the future. They want to make a big noise here at West Ham, and as a new player coming in, that’s an incredible thing to hear.
“I’m looking forward to getting down to work and preparing for an exciting season ahead.”
Steidten does it again. 👏👏👏
Very good signing.
What a diiference the new coach makes.
‘Be careful what you wish for’ ..??

Rumour has it that we could only afford the transfer fee because there was not Jet pic with Max and Tim!
Having a proven transfer specialist with a data driven recruitment team is what we have needed for years! The statistics on the amount of strikers signed under Sullivan is diabolical at best. Tim and his team will help us achieve more and save wasting so many millions!
Kilman was J-Lo’s top target, so credit to all concerned including Sullivan for signing it off. Was worried after the £25M bid went in as we have history of low balling and then walking away.
We need a massive squad restructure and now have the right people in place.
Excited to see who else we sign.
COYI 🛠️♥️🩵
After the disappointment of Bilic and Pellegrini and the nightmare of Moyes it really does feel as though we are on the edge of something.
Steidten gets the job done again. We might argue whether Kilman was the best option but that was his target and he got it done. Steidten is impressive, he brings home the bacon.
Yes John, Tim has been an excellent signing himself
