Dramatic doesn’t come close!
A dreadful sending off by German ref Herr Moron…an idiot fan who robbed us of a clear goal scoring opportunity, ten men taking the lead and then battling like we have rarely seen a Hammers team battle to get a fabulous draw out of such difficult circumstances. What a night!
And yer know what – we’ve seen what Lyon are about and I reckon Moyes will work out a way to see us into the semi final because for all the pretty possession stuff there was no serious penetration with the Hammers always looking the more threatening of the two teams .
Jarrod Bowen has become an extraordinary player and grabbed his second goal in two matches since returning whilst Craig Dawson must be the bargain buy of this or any other season at £3 million bearing in mind that Zouma cost £30 million.
Pablo Fornals had a wonderful game and if we see more of the same across the team as we saw this evening next week I really don’t think Lyon have enough to stop us.
Mikey Antonio turned them inside out at times on a night when essentially the referee and a fan with an IQ smaller than my shoe size a fine game of football and our chance of taking a decent lead to France.
It’s only half time and I’m backing us to finish the job next week.
