It’s tough but Hammers still in frame

West Ham were last night left believing that a top six place may still be on as Manchester united – a toxic club if ever we have seen one right now – collapsed 4-0 to Liverpool.

It meant that the Old Trafford outfit remained just two points ahead of the Hammers having played the same number of games and with an inferior goal difference.

It’s a big call to expect us to take immediate advantage given we meet Chelsea at the weekend although United too have to meet the Blues the week after this whilst visiting Arsenal at the weekend.

They finish their season with a home match against Brentford before travelling away to Brighton and Crystal Palace – tough games as things stand right now.

The Hammers meanwhile with injury problems at central defence  face Arsenal at home, Norwich  away, Man City at home and bogey team Brighton on the south coast.

However, it’s not over – as they say – until the fat lady says Come on you Irons.
