West Ham United and Bournemouth will face off in a crucial EFL Cup clash tomorrow. Both teams have shown promising starts this season and will be eager to make a deep run in the competition.

The Hammers are coming off a strong victory over Crystal Palace, which was an improvement from the opening Premier League game. The Hammers will be aiming to build on this momentum and for Julen Lopetegui, it’s an immediate chance to get European football for next season.

The Hammers new head coach has a clause in his contract which automatically activates an additional year, therefore I’d expect him to take this competition seriously.

Bournemouth will be seeking redemption after a controversial draw against Newcastle United. The Cherries were denied a late victory due to a controversial VAR decision, which will undoubtedly fuel their determination to succeed in the EFL Cup.

West Ham have a strong recent record in the EFL Cup, reaching the quarterfinals twice in the past three seasons. The Hammers will be motivated to go even further this year and potentially win the competition.

The EFL Cup match between West Ham United and Bournemouth promises to be a competitive and exciting encounter. Both teams have shown their quality this season and will be eager to progress in the competition.

After Moyes’s cup exploits, an exit this early from a cup competition would not go down too well, despite the strong opponents in front of West Ham here.

With plenty of match winners in our squad and home advantage though, the mighty Irons appear to be favourites, but Iraola’s Bournemouth will not make it easy for us.

Don’t be surprised if Lopetegui decides to rotate his strong squad slightly and play new signings Summerville, Fullkrug and Todibo from the beginning of the game.
