Matt Jarvis is aware that he is fighting for his West Ham future but hopes he took a step forward against Arsenal on Saturday.
ClaretandHugh revealed several days ago that the club are ready to allow him out on loan next season if they receive a sensible wages share offer on the player.
But the one time record signing has revealed that he still wants to remain involved at the club.
Speaking after only his fourth start of the season he told London24.com:”“I am not thinking about that. I am just concentrating on keeping my head down, working hard and trying to get into the team really.
“I still want to be a part of things here, you want to be playing at a top club, but the most important thing is playing and that is what you want to be doing.
“It is frustrating for me, but we have a great squad and you just have to take it on the chin.”
“It was an important game for me against Arsenal. I haven’t played for a while so it was important to play well and show what I can do and hopefully I have done that. Hopefully I did enough to stay in the team, that is the plan, that is what I need to do.”
I think eventually someone will play him as a wing back but I don’t suppose that would be SA.
