Mile Jedinak has been charged with violent conduct after appearing to land an elbow in the face of Diafra Sakho on Saturday.
The Crystal Palace midfielder has until 6pm tomorrow (Tuesday March 3) to reply to that charge which could land him with a hefty ban.
The Football Association have this evening revealed that referee Mike Dean and his officials have confirmed they did not see the 87th minute incident therefore they will review it retrospectively by video.
The independent regulatory panel is made up of three former referees and they will review the charge independently of each other, and if the decision that it should have been a red card is unanimous then retrospective action can be taken – it would be a four match ban for the Australian.
As an Englishman living in Australia… Good. Charge him the maximum…
I don’t know why he wasn’t charged with an elbow on Valencia just before this incident
