J€$$e Lingard will halt Hammers kids progress

|

The Lingard soap opera goes on and on with the odds looking to be in his favour of getting a Hammers deal but Claret and Hugh follower Eug is really not happy with that scenario.

I don’t think signing J€$$i is a good idea at all.

We have the happiest and most talented squad of players we have had for a long time. When and if he is going to play he will either be taking the place of one of the talented new recruits or one of the up and coming youngsters trying to make the leap from under 21 to the full team.

He cannot play in the group stages of the Europa League so will be taking up a place in the Premier League or the two domestic cups.

I would much rather see players like Fornals, Cornet, Benrahma from the first team squad and Lewis Orford, George Earthy, Callum Marshall & Kanarai Swyer from the Development Squad.

Sorry J€$$i Thanks but NO thanks

Totally agree Eug well said. We now have a world class midfield with Paqueta plus this year’s signings. Plenty of opportunity for the coaches to hone Benrahma, Fornals and Cornet, all of whom need to focus on their end product. Develop these and our U21 players and forget Lingard, who has never ever held a first team place anywhere. Wake up Moyes to a bird in the hand, leave Lingard in the bush!

This is basically for AFCON and the fact good chance Fornals is going in January (sadly). Think if AFCON wasn’t this year probably a different story. And look, if he can replicate his previous form it’s a great bit of business, if he doesn’t it’s virtually zero risk.

Don’t know so much as how many actually get through each season? Rice is now sowing seeds in other paddy fields. Mubama isn’t quite the finished article. Coventry got v. little chance with WH. Lingard could be the difference between winning and finishing as runner up in EL or a top 7 spot.

Totally agree. Said the same a few days ago.
