Jenkinson: ‘Gaffer is not to blame’

carl-jenkinson-562633Loanee Carl Jenkinson has defended departing manager Sam Allardyce saying:

‘I have enjoyed working under the gaffer,’ look at his record. He’s done great at every club he has managed.

‘The team has not finished as well as we’d have liked – but you can’t point the finger at the gaffer for that.’

‘It’s more to do with injuries in key positions and those kind of things have really hampered our form.’

  1. Carl from the evidence I’d say you’re better off doing your talking on the football pitch. I’ve enjoyed your performances this season and you’re welcome to return next season but plaese no more interviews

  2. Maybe John was right… Jenks come back to Arsenal…

  3. Carl you are playing right into Johns hands,
Maybe you can play for BFS next year,Fulhams not far to travel but not sure you will want to play in the championship,
Wonder what Nene thinks about BFS

  4. Haha,Carl is keeping his options open in case he needs to find another club to go on loan too, lol, love the players, they kiss managers butts at the time then a few weeks later they are doing the same to the new guy.It is funny how regularly it happens.

  5. Don’t want to think of anyone kissing hippos butt ( Nasty )
He has been lucky we had no other right backs around and played regularly,
I still hope he can come to us in a transfer deal but he will not endear himself to the fans by speaking out in hippos favour

    • Haha you could lose your head kissing a hippos butt and even worse if he sits down at the same time, that’s what happened to Phil Brown-Tongue lol

  6. What else can they say ? These sort of interviews are pointless really because a player has to tow the party line they can never come out and say ¨The gaffers a douche bag¨ but it would be a lot of fun if they did … maybe they should be wired to lie detectors

    • Haha, that would be so funny, especially with the amount of manager loving goes on in football, lol 😉

  7. Of coarse the managers the blame. The spirit has been drained from the team because of negative tactics. We will again see Sam send out the team with the whole purpose of getting a clean sheet. We should be killing of struggling sides instead we give them growing confidence and end up with either a boring draw or a loss. Newcastle must be thanking there lucky stars that the final game is against us. I admit we are short of strikers but what is made worse is that Cole who has contributed nothing to the game time after time still gets picked to play. When we played Q.P.R Sam said that he expected Cole to excel . What planet is he on. Get Nene on the pitch and a youngster At least they will give all.

  8. We are not short of strikers we have Valencia,Lee,Nene and Cole we only need 2 but he will pick 1 and put
Tubby Nolan next to whoever trying to get him a contract with Jacamo
More chance with Evans or Simply Be
