West Ham officially announced their sixth signing of the summer this afternoon as the return of Carl Jenkinson a 12 month loan.
Jenkinson told the official website: “I’m really happy to be back after last year, It was a good season for the Club and a good season for myself.”
“To be honest I just wanted to come back here and I’m happy everything’s been sorted out. I’ve got another season here and I can’t wait.”
“I’m a young player and I haven’t had too many experiences of different clubs, but I loved every minute of it here. Everything about it is fantastic – it’s a real family Club, the lads are great and the fans are great, so it ticks all the boxes you want when you join a football Club.”
“I’ve got to come in, show what I can do and prove myself to a new manager. That keeps you on your toes and I’ve got to go and do that in pre-season. I’m looking forward to it.”
One right back down one to find for cover,
He did well last season but his price will just go up,
Wenger will never play him
Oh no…
Don’t worry John everybody makes mistakes let’s hope we sign a good right back and he sits waiting for playing time,
Let’s hope he does not go out running with P Neville,
What a plonker tried to use Spanish on Twitter today and instead of saying he was running on the beach he said he was ****ing on the beach
Just trying to cheer you up John
Washing the white stuff off me flip flops right now
Back to bunker
**** ing is actually ejaculating but a different word
Great story bubs thanks for posting it lol
Lmao, nice one bubs, funny. But if anyone needs cheering up at the moment just because we have signed Jenks on loan again i think they are beyond being cheered up.It is a fantastic time to be an Irons supporter.Just dont get how many people are moaning. It aint like hippo is still our manager.
If he just “wanted to come back here”, then why sign for goobers for 5 years? What am I missing?
you are perhaps missing that he is an Arsenal supporter so he will always want to play for them. Only if Wenger decides to let him go will he want to come to us permanently, but then only if we pay too much.
Sorry to keep on disagreeing but he is not our sixth signing,. He is a re-sign from last year and whilst it is nice to have that sorted, it doesn’t change our team from last year one bit.
We have, in reality signed three players who can reasonably be expected to improve our strength in depth, which, everyone agreed was our Achilles heel.
Obiang,Payet,Ogbonna and Randolph are all improvements on last year,Samuelson is an unknown so far but I’d bet is better than CC and Jenks is better than our starting RB last week so in their own way they all improve the squad but I’ll give you your point on technicality over Jenks canchaz
add Hendrie to that too. he also adds to the squad strength, ( not that I know him at all. just guessing )
Haha forgot about our snooker champ thanks lol
I heard that Leo Chambers was in the euro squad training sessions, in Ireland. Does that mean he is back on the scene again now? He was a very good young right-back.
We have a right back at the club shock awe,
Why has some one at the club not sorted this out,
Never mind must feel positive, deep breath,
Back to bunker,
Please find another Beach Mr Neville
This could be prove to be good business.First refusal to sign him come next summer, when he still wont displace Debauchy,Chambers or Bellirin. The five year contract will mean little when it comes to cutting a deal.We have limited funds this summer which will be much improved next summer.Cant have it all,you want a new rightback, two new forwards,a winger, another attacking midfielder.Give the money to the Double Daves & im sure they will buy every player you want.Give them your shopping list.
When did the first refusal to sign him get put in the deal ?
He will be loaned out to us or someone else next year it’s the new way of making money
When he is 25 if he has made the grade at our training Wenger will keep him,
But £2 million a year for 5 years is good business
Maybe we can do the same with Oxford and Burke ?
Sorry it was ment to have ‘if’ in it.But no one knows the actual deal.Arsenal have tied him to a five year deal to safeguard sell on value. It commons practice, especially Arsenal who have done it with many players before selling them.Anyway i have said what i think.I believe it will workout next summer as a good deal when all becomes clear. We will all see come next year!
Ok Vic sorry I make loads of typo,s,
It’s not my money so I don’t care if he is a good or bad deal,
But I would like an option
