Carl Jenkinson has revealed the mentality at West Ham is the same as it is at Arsenal!
Discussing tonight’s game against Saints at st Mary’s, the on-loan right back said: “The mentality here is definitely the same as it was at Arsenal.
“I don’t know if it was different here a couple of years ago, but we now go into these games knowing that we can win, because we have done it before this season and Sunday was another one we should have won.
“But that’s football sometimes and you just have to take it, but I don’t think it was a just result today and even they would probably admit that.”
And he hinted that Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia may be kept as the twin strike force saying: “I think the plan is to go there and play as we did on Sunday.
He told www.whufc.com: “Normally, they will have a nice footballing surface down there so we will be able to play our game. The good thing is that Southampton will be going for it as well.
“It should be a nice game of football because both teams want to play football and score goals.”
