Jordan sends sack warning to Zouma

|

Simon Jordan has warned Kurt Zouma that he could be sacked by West Ham after the sickening video of him abusing his pet cat was shared on social media.

The Sun reported that the France international had been filmed kicking the defenceless animal across his kitchen, before slapping it out of the hands of his child.

It is an obscene, disgusting video and West Ham and the RSPCA have condemned the former Chelsea defender, while he has posted an apology for his actions.

But Jordan, speaking on talkSPORT, has now claimed that he could be sacked by the Irons.

The police have, per the report, decided against investigating the Frenchman for his actions but Jordan believes the club could potentially rip up his contract after such sickening behaviour, after potentially bringing the club into disrepute with his actions.

He said: “We must be able to live in a redemptive society. We must be able to live in a world where someone looks at themselves and goes ‘what the hell was I thinking?’

“Is it a sackable offence? If you want to turn it into gross misconduct and bringing the club into disrepute and ultimately damaging the reputation of the club – which contractually you’re now allowed to do – then if you wanted to make it a sacking offence then you’d have good grounds to do so.

“If you want to get into the nuts and bolts of what this player was thinking, why he’d do such a thing and if there’s anything in there to give you some cause to think there’s prevention and a bit of redemption in there and a bit of PR management to get the situation under control, then I think most owners would look at it from that point of view.”

West Ham face Watford tonight and it will be mightily interesting to see if Zouma is in the squad, let alone in the team.

Finally, our dear friend, Simon, says something sensible. How long have we been waiting?! And he said on TalkSport too!!

The club will decide not Simon Jordan!

Yes, Zouma is an idiot and deserves to be punished. The sheer embarrassment his family are feeling on his account must be painful. However, no one who works for a media outlet that employed the likes of Stan Colleymore and Geoff Boycott has any right to pass judgement on someone who kicked a cat.
