Journalist: Hammers to ‘sound out’ elite duo

|

West Ham are willing to approach both Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel if David Moyes is sacked, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The self-styled transfer insider claims that both the former Spurs boss and the former Chelsea manager will be on the club’s list if the Hammers bite the bullet and sack Moyes.

The Irons boss has struggled thus far this season and the club are currently on a run of three successive defeats, leaving them 16th and just one point clear of the relegation zone.

The next encounter for the Hammers comes on Boxing Day, when the Premier League resumes after the World Cup, and will be against current league leaders Arsenal.

There is no immediacy to this story; the Irons remain committed to Moyes at this point, but that could well change.

And Jones believes both Pochettino and Tuchel will be at the top of the list if a manager hunt is required.

Speaking to Football FanCast, he said: “Pochettino would probably be on their list. Tuchel would probably be on that list as well. They would have to be managers that you at least sound out for that position.”

Neither of those guys would come to us…

Pocettino or Tuchel – would either of these two come to West Ham? 🤔

In my humble opinion I would say not in a million years – West Ham just don’t have the wherewithal to attract these guys, I believe both these guys would be looking at much higher profile Clubs or even International jobs! 😳

I would imagine both of them would be on England’s radar should Southgate resign
