Journo: Irons want Leeds ace

West Ham are interested in doing a deal to sign Leeds United youngster Cody Drameh, according to journalist Graeme Bailey.

The Hammers have been linked with a potential swoop to sign the 20-year-old, who has struggled to make an impact at Elland Road.

An England U21 international, Drameh has only made seven first-team appearances for Leeds, which sounds eerily similar to the situation that Harrison Ashby finds himself in.

Of course, Ashby is expected to leave the Hammers in the January transfer window, with Newcastle leading the chase, and it may be that Drameh is being lined up as a replacement.

According to Bailey, who was speaking to Team Talk, there is plenty of interest in Drameh; Newcastle and Crystal Palace are also said to be keeping tabs on his development, along with a clutch of foreign clubs, including Borussia Dortmund.

Drameh is clearly very highly-rated; it remains to be seen if Leeds are remotely willing to do business for him in January.

  1. Why would he want to go to a club where he will get even less opportunities, youth will never get a chance whilst Dinosaur Dave is in charge………
