Juventus concerned over Zaza return

|

West Ham United Unveil New Signing Simone ZazaReports in Italy warn West Ham could send Simone Zaza back to Juventus as soon as January, rather than buy him outright.

The Italian striker joined the Hammers on loan this summer, with the deal automatically becoming permanent on his 15 appearance. That transfer would be worth £17.5m plus bonuses to Juventus who have already budgeted for that money  to pay for their Juan Cuadrado  transfer deal.

Italian website Calciomercato.com says the threshold was set deliberately low in order to virtually guarantee that Zaza would move to West Ham permanently.

The website quite rightly speculates that West Ham are now getting cold feet on the striker who has so far made five appearances. West Ham are thought to have paid a £4.2m season long deal although it is not known whether that includes his £70,000 per week wages.

Just proves the point, don’t bank on something til you can afford it.

For all the slagging that DS gets, this is very sensible business. If Zaza continues as he is(especially when we hit form and he actually gets some decent service), he gets sent back in January with no deal. I’ve heard it doesn’t include cup games so it would be fairly easy to keep him below that amount of appearances.
What this does suggest though is that Zaza actually isn’t that highly rated. Can’t imagine there are many clubs who would entertain a try before you buy deal for a top player

Did you see that shot he tried on Saturday, from about 25 yards out and ended up going about 25 yards above the bar – the guy is seriously delusional about his ability!

I would like to think that once Carroll and Sakho are in the team later this month Zaza will get very little playing time up till January.I like Sakho as a player and if he and Bilic have sorted their silly squabble out it will be like having a new striker on board.Carrolls injury woes worry me though and we never know just how long he will last.Slav keeps saying Zaza needs time to adjust but that is the one luxury we do not have with this deal,,and from what we have seen so far its a NO NO.

Carroll will be back for one game before he breaks a nail and Sakho seems the sort who could start an argument in an empty room so let’s not give up on Zaza just yet!
