The much heralded West Ham loan arrival has made a dreadful start to his spell in claret and blue having now been sent off after contributing to a goal on his debut with a sloppy back pass and looking entirely unimpressive.

Now former ref Mike Dean has heavily attacked the Manchester City midfielder who manager David Moyes chose to start in the defeat at Nottingham Forest rather than Tomas Soucek.

Commenting on his sending off for a second bookable offence three minutes after receiving his first Dean said the former England international ‘just doesn’t look interested’.

‘He’s just been cautioned for getting involved with Dominguez for no reason whatsoever. Two minutes, he’s just flicked the ball over Gibbs-White and he’s just caught him on top of the foot,’

Speaking on Sky Sports he added: ‘Stupid second yellow card. He’s just wasting his time playing. He just doesn’t look interested.’

Meanwhile the Mail is reporting that Moyes – should he still be in charge this summer – that the Hammers manager wants Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney who has managed two goals for the Championship club in his 28 appearances this season.

However, the 22 year old only signed a new four year deal last year.
