Kehrer, Bowen, Rice headache

|

There is a West Ham headache looming over England’s clash with Germany tonight!

The game might not matter in the context of the UEFA Nations League, as the Three Lions were relegated after their 1-0 defeat to Italy last week.

As a result, we’re likely to see some rotation on both sides.

Kehrer isn’t the first-choice centre-back for Germany but he did play 45 minutes against Hungary last week and could be drafted into start on Monday night.

Jarrod Bowen perhaps thankfully has been left out after being benched against Italy.

Rice, we would hope, will be given some time to rest but Gareth Southgate thinks of him as a vital cog in the England team. Having him in the team seems more likely than not.

But the real problem comes with Kehrer.

The Hammers don’t have options at centre-back as it is after Nayef Aguerd’s injury, so to see him go down would be a bitter, bitter blow.

Let’s hope he’s on the bench this evening, watching on!
