Kent Hammers to miss out on London Stadium return

Large parts of the Midlands, North East and North West, including Manchester, as well as Kent, will face the harshest restrictions in tier three the Government has announced this morning. That includes unnecessary travel outside of their tier 3 area meaning they will not be able to go the London Stadium when supporters return on 5th December.

The majority of places are in the second-highest level – tier two – including London, and Liverpool city region, previously in the highest tier. That means up to 2,000 supporters can return for the West Ham United v Manchester United match on 5th December if they live in a Tier 1 or 2 area.

The selection for a Golden ticket will be by random ballot from a eligible list of around.

88% of the 54,000 West Ham Season ticket holders renewed their tickets with around one third or 18,000 choosing option 3 automatically de-selecting themselves from any ballot. That means those eligible for the ballot will be around 30,000 so season ticket holders can expect a one of fifteen chance of getting a Golden ticket to the London Stadium.

Entry to the stadium will be electronic via mobile phone with no paper tickets. All tickets are non transferable with strict track and trace protocols in place.

The return to the London Stadium by 2,000 supporters is subject to final approval by the Newham led Safety Advisory Group.
