Major Gooners injury doubt a Hammers boost

Bukayo Saka could miss Arsenal’s clash with the Hammers this weekend.

The Gunners go into the game after their 2-1 win over Spurs, but the teenager is a major doubt.

Saka limped out of that game at half-time with a hamstring injury.

Manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that he faces late fitness tests ahead of this weekend’s clash.

He is likely to miss the Europa League clash with Olympiacos as a result and it will be a major blow if he is absent.

Saka, just 19, has been a key player for the Gunners this season and has made 24 league appearances this season, scoring five goals and registering three assists.

It also remains to be seen if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will play after he was dropped against Spurs for disciplinary reasons.

Alexandre Lacazette played up front instead and scored both goals in his side’s win.

It would not be a surprise, then, if the Gabon international is again on the bench.
