Manual Pellegrini believes that Felipe Anderson and Mark Noble will be available for selection when West Ham travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea next Monday night.
“Felipe had a pain in his ankle on Friday, the day before the game, and that’s why he couldn’t play, but I think and hope that he will be ready on Tuesday or Wednesday,” Pellegrini told WHUFC.com on Monday.
Mark Noble is also expected to return after sitting the game against Everton on the bench due to personal family reasons.
Pellegrini added: “I also think that Mark Noble is important for this team and for personal reasons he couldn’t play, but it’s not the matter of one player, it’s the matter of the team and we cannot have this kind of performance if we want to try to fight for a spot in Europe.”
Samir Nasri is also expected to return from a calf injury which kept him out of Saturday evening’s loss.
Last Thursday Pellegrini told reporters pre-match: “I forgot to tell you about injuries, Samir has a problem in his calf this week so he might not be able to play.
Antonio and Chicharito should’ve started against Everton. Adding Balbuena, Anderson and Noble for the Chelsea game will give us more options.
Fabianski, Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Cresswell, Antonio, Rice, Noble, Lanzini, Anderson and Chicharito.
Nasri is more important than either Noble or Anderson, if he is back I think we will beat Chelsea.
