Key to season is solving this issue says former hero

West Ham hero George Parris says sorting out how to accommodate strike duo Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll is key to lifting the team out of their early season sluggishness.
Speaking exclusively to Blowing Bubbles, Parris said manager Slaven Bilic faced a challenge but once he got that right, the whole team would benefit.
Parris said: “[Carroll’s] return against Huddersfield was a major boost but it was a waste to stick Chicharito on the left flank. I can see why he did it but is a waste of a striker who is a real fox in the box.
“It’d be like sending Tony Cottee out wide – he’d do a job for you but wouldn’t be anywhere near as effective as he is in the middle.”
To hear more of Parris’s views on the big League Cup showdown with Spurs, an exclusive interview with Brazil legend Pele on his friendship and rivalry with Bobby Moore, why West Hams should listen to Paul Ince – no, really – and more, pick up a copy of the new Blowing Bubbles, out now.
