West Ham United are closing in on Wolverhampton Wanderers’ captain Max Kilman in a potential £40 million transfer deal this summer, according to Football Insider.
The 26-year-old centre-back enjoyed a solid season with Wolves, playing every Premier League match and making a total of 44 appearances across all competitions. He played a key role in their FA Cup run to the quarter-finals and their 14th-place finish in the league.
Kilman’s journey is a remarkable one. He joined Wolves from non-league Marlow on a free transfer in 2018 and has since become a mainstay in the first team, racking up 151 appearances. Following Ruben Neves’ departure in 2023, he was even entrusted with the captain’s armband.
Shortly after assuming the captaincy, Kilman signed a new five-year contract with Wolves, keeping him at the club until 2028. This extension could potentially complicate West Ham’s efforts to acquire him.
Despite the potential challenge, West Ham’s new manager, Julen Lopetegui, is determined to bolster his defence, with Kilman identified as one of his primary targets for the central defender position.
I don’t take any notice of these stories until I see the player in the claret and blue shirt.
Weve been rumoured to be after over a hundred different players so far and the windows not even open yet. Not worth worrying yourself about mate. Good luck with fact checking that lot.
exactly
Not sure why I keep reading this rubbish, about time that he got a proper job!!!!!!!!
Yes but c.h are supposed to have connections to the club..if so why write all the bull shit from other rags around Europe
You can’t blame claret and Hugh for reporting on transfer rumours that are also being reported elsewhere. Nobody forces us to believe transfer rumours. They are what they are. Rumours. Not facts. From my point of view I just wish I knew what the strategy was but doubt we’ll ever know what really goes on behind the scenes.
TBH C&H, I can’t figure out where you are going with this site, but “Sensationalism” ain’t my bag. I get the impression there’s a lot of recycling going on here, or news is slow. Got to fill those column inches!
Yeah ur right.cznt believe anything on here anymore..I’m done
i bet you’re not. expect to see you in the comments again tomorrow. cheers
He’s just hoping to get it right one day and say I told you so.
Bit confusing what are transfer strategy is at the moment. Rumour has it our German football expert spends his time trying to recruit starlets in Brazil yet still in the news we are linked with Moyes old homegrown targets like Kilman or promising players from the championship. Would love to know what our transfer strategy was.
Our strategy is bargain basement buys or free transfers simple really. Sullivan is more interested in gaining riches.
Perhaps Kilmun is on holiday in Brazil and all the other players I read about had enough of gossip let’s see what players we get if any
Agree 100% with you if it’s not EX forget it
Why do you post obviously made up stories? Football Insider never has anything credible, im sure they just make stuff up. The only person worth listening to is Ex, he only posts facts, and doesnt just copy and paste rubbish!!
I agree with you .but I am not totally convinced by what x says either.
Exactly..I’ve been saying the same …all they do is regurgitate storys from.papers around the world…with there so called connections to the club , you would think we would hear something that will actually happen…its fucking ridiculous
