In the latest developments at The London Stadium, West Ham United are persistently working towards bolstering their squad for the upcoming season. Despite recent reports indicating that negotiations for Max Kilman might be in jeopardy due to West Ham’s reluctance to meet Wolves’ £45 million asking price, there is still significant progress behind the scenes.

According to the well-informed Hammers insider, ExWHUEmployee, updates shared on The West Ham Way Patreon reveal that discussions are ongoing and have not completely stalled, contrary to widespread speculation.

“This kind of ‘stalling’ is something we have encountered multiple times with primary transfer targets,” ExWHUEmployee commented. “James Ward-Prowse was a key target for Moyes last summer, and we experienced similar delays with him. The same situation occurred with Gianluca Scamacca and Kurt Zouma.”

Currently, West Ham are reportedly £10-£15 million shy of Wolves’ valuation of Kilman. Wolves’ manager, Julen Lopetegui, has expressed a strong desire to secure Kilman’s services, potentially even considering him for the captaincy, underscoring the strategic importance of this acquisition for Wolves.

In an effort to bridge the gap in valuation, West Ham have proposed a player exchange deal. It’s believed that both Maxwel Cornet and Danny Ings were offered in the negotiations. However, moving Ings might prove challenging due to his substantial wages, which also complicated talks with Southampton earlier.

As the Hammers persist in their quest to reinforce their squad, fans remain hopeful for a breakthrough in the negotiations. The club’s determination to secure top-tier talent like Kilman reflects their ambition to compete at higher levels in the Premier League.

Stay tuned for more updates on West Ham’s transfer activities and other breaking news as the summer window progresses.

    Kilman has become top saga.
JLo is obsessed with him just like Moyes was with Maguire and Phillips.
Too much time spent on this individual.
Move on and sort out other positions.
If Kilman is still available at eleventh hour try again, no doubt we will still be running round like headless chickens!

Content totally inaccurate Lopetegui is not Wolves manager he is West Ham’s manager. It is not a proposed acquisition for Wolves it is a proposed acquisition for West Ham.

Although we are getting anxious it’s only 30 June. This is already more advanced than negotiations of previous windows! They negotiated Kudus, Alvarez and Bowen extension too so let them do their jobs.

”Currently, West Ham are reportedly £10-£15 million shy of Wolves’ valuation of Kilman ” and as long as West Ham do not meet or get near to the the valuation, Kilman will not likely be heading South to West Ham!
Kilman is a valued member of the Wolves squad and the club does not want to sell but as we all know, every player has his price and West Ham know what that is, 45m!
So offer more than the supposed 30m or so without add-ons etc and negotiate seriously because Kilman will not arrive on the cheap.
Question, would a Wolves bid for say Jarrod Bowen of 60m be enough for the Hammers to sell?
Of course not, and so it is with Kilman, 45m or thereabouts and maybe a deal could be done, otherwise move on to other targets such as Greaves from Hull City!
