Kilman’s West Ham Mega Contract

Max Kilman is expected to sign a six-year contract at West Ham which could take him to the end of his career as he will be 33 in six years’ time. The deal is highly likely a five-year contract with an option for one additional year.

There is not believed to be any buyout clause in the players contract who is thought to be looking forward to joining West Ham and reuniting with former boss Julen Lopetegui.

Kilman’s agents Wasserman will receive a seven-figure sum for their part in the transfer and Kilman could well double his £50,000 per week wages he earns at Wolves in his move to London. This is believed to still be some way behind the wage Kurt Zouma currently receives at The London Stadium although will make him one of the clubs top earners.

Claret & Hugh has contacted the club for confirmation on whether Kilman is expected to be named captain but they are remaining tight lipped on the matter. We have sought clarification with rumours circulating that Jarrod Bowen could be named as Hammers captain.

Article definitely says 6 year contract. Not sure why everyone is commenting on a 5 year contract, or did I miss something?

Pleased that Loren and Tim got their man. Must keep Emerson. Probably stuck with Zouma on his wages.

5 yr contact seems a good thing just in case a top 6 club comes in for him if he does well for us .
LP got his man and that adds a bit of reassurance to his long term plans for WHU.
Re Bowen as captain, we all love the bloke but im in the Alverez camp on that one .
He can see everything from his positional play and he is outstanding /respected captain for Mexico.
I think we should cash in on Zouma (as little as it may be ) 1 yr left on contract and dodgy knees , but if we don’t he will make a good back up and he is a good character to have around….

So 5 weeks money covers all the concessions that the young and elderly are losing..
    Must be worth it?

  • Tony says:

After his speech for Paqueta, I would have thought it is a no brainer making Edson Alvarez WH captain.

    • Carl Turner says:

Why should edson be captain when bowen has been there the longest player so in my case bowen SHOULD be made captain

      • Jacko says:

cresswell and Fab have been there longer than Bowen, doesn’t matter who’s been there longest amount of time should come down to who’s a leader and Bowen isn’t a leader of the team great player but no leader.
