Klopp brings on the kids for Irons tie

Angelo_Ogbonna_BGR-ITA_2012The Irons are set to face a youthful team at Liverpool tomorrow as they look to progress into the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.

After clinching a pace in the Capital One Final in the week and with Leicester City next Tuesday manager Jurgen Klopp appears to have relegated the competition to the bottom of his priorities.

He is reported by as saying:“It will be another young side. It will be a different team for sure.

“We have to make a few changes, we will make them, but only because we want to win the game. The last FA Cup game against Exeter was great. The boys will give everything.”

Klopp can welcome back Dejan Lovren to help out with the defensive crisis which has rocked Anfield, with on-loan Steven Caulker still available after a scare.

Slaven Bilic has made it clear there will be changes to his line up and this could mean a rest for James Collins and Michail Antonio with Angelo Ogbonna and Victor Moses starting.

Mark Noble, who has been suffering a bout of flu, is likely to travel but probably won’t be risked.

Those Liverpool ‘kids’ were extremely good against Exeter. They will not be a push-over by any means. Hopefully, Bilic will have that in hand….

On that basis, it will be Adrian, Tomkins Reid Ogbonna Cresswell Obiang Song Kouyate Payet Moses Valencia ?? Team almost picks itself

  • johnboy says:

Antonio must start , Liverpool will come on strong early and if moses plays he will expose tommo with his inability to defend . If need be bring moses on later , Antonio is young and bursting with energy, he is on a high and should keep his place ! Moses is not match fit and IMO will be a liability !!
