Klopp expresses Bowen interest again
Jurgen Klopp has again expressed his admiration of Jarrod Bowen but he is going to have little chance of tempting the Hammers goal machine away from the London Stadium. Jarrod has consistently revealed that he signed a seven year deal at the club because he wants to become a claret and blue legend.
However, speaking before the midweek Carabao Cup match at Anfield, Klopp made it clear that outside of his own squad, the hammers No 20 was his favourite player explaining on Sky Sports ‘West Ham are good again, through in Europe, it’s really impressive. Injuries issues as well. Playing without Antonio, and Bowen steps up in that position. [He is] probably my favourite player besides all my players I have to say. It’s great what he is doing and how he has developed.’
However, often game-changing Bowen would cost fortunes anyway as transfer fees escalate and Liverpool are not in that ball park when it comes to astronomical fees. And as mentioned he really does seem more than content at the Hammers declaring he signed the big new deal because of the faith we had shown in him. However, his brilliant goal as we were thrashed, will live in the memory and again showed the Liverpool boss his quality. It was his 12th goal in 22 games.
Meanwhile on the Footballers Football Posdcast Michail Antonio made the position crystal clear saying Klopp may be trying to lay seeds and that be believes he wants Jarrod before adding: ‘He can lay the seeds all he likes mate. The man has just signed a seven year deal, if he wants that, he can bring the money.”
