Cheeky Juventus appear to be copying West Ham’s loan-to-buy transfer offer for French defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
Juve are now actively working to find an agreement with OGC Nice for The Irons top defensive target and have taken a leaf out of the Hammers’ book by getting creative with the payment structure.
The Serie A side are growing confident about a loan with an obligation to buy, but the Italians are still unwilling to meet the requested price of €35m that the Hammers agreed to.
Juve are, by all intents and purposes, skint. They been desperately attempting to offload players to fund their own spending spree but are discovering that there is no longer a massive queue of clubs willing to pay big money.
While they’d love to sell players such as Matias Soule for £30m, they have found no buyers as football continues its big financial reset.
Todibo himself has forced his club’s hand by declining a move to West Ham despite the two clubs having agreed on the transfer. With Juventus edging closer to an agreement with Nice, perhaps it’s time for the Hammers to move on to other targets.
Todibo wants his move to Turin, move on, plenty more high quality CB’s around.
IF Todibo has already declined a move to us, then that deal is dead so surely we’ve already moved on?
Juventus would appear to have the upper hand in this deal over Nice too, because the player only want to go there. So they will get him at a further reduced price.
