Kompany names Hammers big three

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has named the Hammers big three and admits he loves the team West Ham are building and knows the challenge his team face tomorrow (Sat). He knows too that with Michail Antonio definitely missing and maybe Jarrod Bowen, the Clarets will regardless be facing a Hammers big three in Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez.

Kompany names Hammers big three

Kompany will send his team out very much on the front foot against a Hammers team which knows it dares not lose a game they are fully expected to win And the Burnley boss made it clear that we represent very strong opponents pointing to certain positions as having enormous potential. Beyond those three it seem more than possible that eight goal Jarrod Bowen could also add to his team’s problems after Hammers boss David Moyes suggested that he may well be able to start  for teh Hammers after an injury scare.

Meanwhile, Kompany said: “We know West Ham are such a strong opponent, you just have to look at the players they’ve got and the investments they’ve had in certain positions. I really like the squad they have to be honest. There’s pure individual quality that you have to respect in this league. But that’s the goal for us, to show the ability to be amongst this.

“Obviously they’ve got (Michail) Antonio who is not available and a few other niggles, but if you look at the midfield with Alvarez, Paqueta on the ball and his quality to pick passes and be a threat, Kudus is a player I’ve known for a long time, it’s just an exciting squad purely from a neutral perspective.”
