Kostic makes his mind up over move

West Ham have lost out in the the race for Filip Kostic.

David Moyes has been chasing the left sided midfielder for a couple of weeks and the Hammers launched their first bid for the player a couple of days ago.

But there have been serious doubts hanging over the deal with Kostic having just a year left in the Bundesliga and with the chance of Champions League football over the next campaign.

A deal for the 29 year old would have been a serious piece of business as he is able to cover the left back role as well as midfield giving the manager a serious alternative to Aaron Cresswell.

But we have been told this evening that it is not going to happen as Kostic himself wants to stay in the Bundesliga until the end of the season when he becomes a free agent,

A Hammers source declared: ” It seems we and any other club have missed out. Kostic is staying where he is  until he is a free agent.”

  1. Gutted he would have been awesome , hopefully we have a good back up plan . Would like Onana if it could be done and another LB . COYI ⚒

  2. Yet again West Ham wastes valuable transfer window time chasing a player that doesn’t want to come to us

  3. Hugh he is NOT a left back.
Probably one of the reasons he didn’t want to come as he would have to play there at times.
A waste of time by Moyes again should of gone for David Raum

  4. All is forgiven if they get a Left Back in and quick. Fail and they deserve to flayed at dawn.
