Kouyate drags Hammers level on the interval

|

Half Time Hammers 1 Leicester 1

kouyateThe Hammers scored at precisely the right time to equalise bang on the brink of half time and for all the frustration and anger over the first City goal, we look better. Not great but better and Marko Arnautovic was clear man of the first half for us.

Angelo Ogbonna failed to cut out Vardy’s speculative cross after seven minutes and Albrighton side footed past Hart . Leicester – as we knew they would – looked lethal on the break and sadly Zabaleta showed his age time and again by being dragged out of position.

The Hammers though were up for a fight athough and Lanzini led the charge out of midfield on several occasions although he our build up is not fast enough .

However, we forced the ball into the box 20 times in the first half and from one Carroll brought a fine low save from Schmeichel. But Arnautovic was stepping up and pushing in some fine crosses.

Then came our magic moment when a Lanzini corner found Kuyate who made up for a couple of bad misses at Watford by forcing the ball home.

There’s still a lot not to like but there’s more energy and it was a great time to equalise
