Cheikhou Kouyate will tomorrow have a scan on the injury that saw him play out the Liverpool game in obvious pain.The brave midfielder refused to depart the action and ensured that – despite being a ‘passenger’ – he continued to cause nuisance value as the Hammers c0mpleted their fine win.
He pulled up – appearing to hold his groin in the 80th minute – and now faces the scan which will reveal the extent of the problem.
One source said: “I think he may be facing an absence.I hope I’m wrong but we will know more tomorrow.
“It was a fantastic win but we picked up some injuries which is why we can never get too carried away in this game.”
Rank bad management brought about by not having the right bench.if kayoute is off for any lenghth then Sam will have shown how poor his decision making is

If I’m not mistaken, Sam had already made three substitutions by that time, so it had nothing to do with tactics or bad management. Having Vaz Te on the bench, maybe, but not this. If Kouyate is off for any length of time, then so be it – players get injured, and not always in such heroic fashion – he chose to come back on and keep fighting – the sign of a very decent player.
Kouyate played on in pain because we were 2-1 up & there were no subs left. Kouyate is a hero & Sam has got it right. Anything else is poppycock. (synonyms: nonsense, rubbish, garbage, claptrap, balderdash.)
Nice piece… Have to say at one point i asked the guy behind me who were we watching haha.. I dont get to as many games as i would like nowadays.. And the nearly 400 mile round trip from Cornwall can feel like twice that, when we loose. But i smiled from ear to ear all the way home, especially as my travelling companion was a Pool supporter… HAPPY DAYS.. If we can play like that for half of the matches this season ill be exstatic.. COUI more like that.
