Kouyate is out for six weeks

Kayoute westDavid Gold has confirmed our worst fears on twitter tonight. Kouyate is out for five weeks following results of his scan.

Speaking on twitter Gold said “Bad news. C.Kouyate will be out for 6 weeks. He will probably miss 5 games and might be available for Aston Villa at home 8 nov. dg”

Gold had previously said Kouyate would be fine but responding to one fan he defended himself “I saw him after the match and he told me he would be fine. dg”

  1. Disappointing news but it’s all about being positive and it could provide an opportunity for Poyet instead of him being farmed out for game time. Kouyate would’ve been the player needed at Old Trafford, but I feel we are better able to cope than we would’ve done before this seasons transfers.
    Get well soon Kouyate!

  2. Well done Sam,quality management leaving an injured player on the field when we were ahead.now out for five or six weeks at a time and you don’t want ravel.Sam is still as poor as he always was.what a fool.

  3. So frustrating to see Kouyate get injured after saturdays performance.I was expecting him to make a big impact at old trafford. He showed the attitude that i love to see in west ham players, and i hope he gets back in a west ham shirt asap.

  4. Bitter pill to swallow seeing as Sam decided to let (2 goals already) Diame go, and for some ridiculous reason will not include Morrison. Ravel came on in the second half in the Saints debacle and was the best player on the pitch for 20 minutes………Come on Sam give him his chance now, don’t loan him out to become unsettled again in another city. In this team alongside Song, and Downing in the form he is in, Morrison’s quick feet and turn of speed, it could just be the opening for him to shine.

  5. Some people would blame Sam if the sky fell down.Kouyate knew he was injured,we had used our three subs but he bravely said he would stay on and do what he can.people who continually batter Sam and say very little about the football, there the fools,Ravel has a call back clause, put in his loan agreement, but with Noble and Song holding, maybe a chance to see Poyet get some game time,or maybe Ravel.i certainly think we can cope better now when we have injuries, but that is just typical of our luck.Kouyate is a big player for us already he will be missed no doubt,

  6. Bad luck for us to loose Kouyte just when he had combined so well with Song and Noble
maybe a chance for Poyet to fill the gap and keep our shape ,let’s not go back to 1 up top even if we our away at Old Trafford.
