Kouyate voted London’s top player

KouyatewesthamInstant hit Cheikhou Kouyate has been voted London’s top player for August.

The all action midfielder – having collected the ClaretandHugh award yesterday – has now emerged as London 24’s Premier League star turn in the capital.

The victory was achieved via a Twitter vote with Kouyate romping to victory having collected 49 per cent of the vote.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa was second, and Tottenham’s Eric Dier third, separated by just a point..

Costa’s Chelsea team-mate Cesc Fabregas came in fourth place, while Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez had to settle for fifth.
