Kral: No talks held …no fees discussed!

|

Alex Kral

New stories are emerging this evening aimed at suggesting the Hammers interest in Alex Kral has “cooled.”

That is not the case because there has never been any bid lodged or enquiry made of Spartak Moscow for the midfielder who has previous experience with our two Czech boys at Slavia Prague.

The only suggestions that he may be available have come from his agent, the Moscow club whilst the player has liked a few comments linking him with the Irons.

ClaretandHugh revealed yesterday that despite the hype from club, player, agent and the media at large. Kral has never been the subject of a firm offer or anything near it from West Ham.

The latest suggestion appears to be that the club could not agree a fee although initially it was widely reported  a deal at around £14 million was close to being agreed.

Now the latest story is that Kral’s agent had held provisional talks with West Ham to settle on personal terms, but the two clubs had never agreed on a transfer fee which is now the major stumbling block. That’s not the case.

There have been no talks but West Ham sources have made it clear to CandH that they consider him a good player and were Declan or Tomas to leave – which was described as “highly unlikely” – they could be interested.

But we were told: “There has been no bid or talks from us whatsoever at this stage.”

There was another suggestion, Hugh: it came from Ex WHU Employee’s Twitter feed, which suggested that personal terms had been agreed with the player. Can we safely assume that Moyes has elbowed whoever has been leaking stories to Ex in the past? If so, it’s more evidence of some sanity and stability being restored to the Club by Moyes, in my view.

    • its a false leak mate. just not true

Ex can defend himself, but he always says he doesn’t rely on one source and only reveals news when he has confirmed with two or more sources.

ex didn’t break it, this was from the agents mouth

west ham have to deny it because it’s tapping up/illegal

      • Agents say a player is available and a club is interested is tapping up – really? This assumes in your world that u believe agents always tell the truth. Get a grip. It’s nothing of the sort .

Speculation, rumour gossip. Would rather read facts, even if this happens after a signing has been made.

Looks to me like Ex has been talking out the other side of his mouth on this one and is now backpedaling. I think he read your reporting Hugh and realized he better start putting out a plausible off ramp. I’ve never understood the unwavering faith people have in his predictions. He gets it wrong a fair few times, like so many others, especially this early on in the silly season. He just makes sure he has an out for when the prediction fails. Not so different from so may other pundits out there.

  • Naff says:

Proof then that Ex whu employee is just guessing or making things up at best.

  • Hammerpete says:

Ex WHU is a bit of a JK Rowling when it comes to signings and Hugh has rightly called him out.

All I care about is getting decent players in to improve the squad and currently I trust the manager and his recruitment team to get the right players in.
Kral is a good player but isn’t going to be bought and then sit on the bench so it was never going to happen.

I like the rumour mill, it is good coffee reading when I wake up in the morning 🙂
