As West Ham’s new era under the Gold – Kretinsky leadership gets underway, something of a vacuum needs to be filled at executive level to enable full functioning of the club after the raid departures of both its former Chairman and vice Chairperson in the last few hectic weeks.
There is every reason to expect that Kretinsky’s preferred structure will mirror that at Sparta Prague, in which the Czech billionaire’s EPH holdings has a 94% share.
Every reason to expect Kretinsky to bring in a similar management structure at West Ham United
Sparta Prague have a top executive structure consisting of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and, interestingly, a Sporting Director – former player Tomáš Rosický. West Ham at present find themselves with solely an acting Chief Executive Officer: Current Chief Financial Officer Andy Mollett is due to retire this summer.
Quite possibly two immediate appointments to the executive leadership team will be the new-look West Ham board’s first priorities as they begin fleshing out their summer strategy and complete post-Sullivan restructuring ahead of the restart of football in August.
At present, it is unclear who is actually making the transfer decisions so surely a sporting (or technical) director appointment is urgent: Whoever else, it seems unlikely to be the highly tipped Kieran Scott, according to the Yorkshire Post:
“Middlesbrough’s head of football Kieran Scott is not interested in leaving the club for West Ham United or Birmingham City.”
The appointment of Nuno Espírito Santo appears to have steadied the ship on the playing side although some clarity over the re-employment of Assistant Head Coach Paco Jemez would be welcomed – it seems likely that Jemez is staying for the promotion push but nothing has been confirmed by the football club.
All of which is understandable, it has been a busy week at West Ham Towers. Makes you wonder what the next seven days holds.
I have little or no feeling for Sullivan
Lets face it in the industry he made his money there were always going to be allegations
and historically all sorts went on 30 ears ago that would be causing uproar these days;
It remains to be seen what happens but really e just have to move onwards and hopefully upwards;

I’m also kind of happy there is still involvment from the Gold family, but have no rationale behind this, other than gut feeling that David Gold was probably the steadying influence in the board room to Sullivan’s petulance.
Actually really looking forward to the Championship season now.

I wasn’t clear what Mark Noble was doing under Sullivan, what’s he going to do now? The same, whatever that is?
Noble was ‘sporting director’ with his academy role outlined… for whatever reason Nobes had an incredibly low profile. Wonder if that might change a little now.
I haven’t felt so positive in a good few years , I know we had Icelandic billionaires and things went pear shaped but suffering sullivan and co was like death by a thousand cuts . New broom DK can now shape the club like professional business man . I could never have walked away from the club I’ve supported for 60 years but it was hard to stay positive , son and grandchildren already supporters so hopefully the good times will return and that doesn’t mean expecting to win every game🤞🤞
I imagine the hiring of Jemez might have to wait until that fortnights time when the shareholding changes.
Don’t see why lamadrid has been made permanent he’s contract loan was up same as Paco so if both parties are aligned no reason to waste time because we really don’t have much

It would take some brass neck for Sullivan to reappear in the box again.
Though wouldn’t put it past him. In theory once Kretinsky is the major shareholder I guess he could revoke the box that Sullivan uses.
