Hammer Mohammed Kudus has an injury and  is set to join the Ghana training camp later than expected  according to Ghana boss and former Hammer Chris Hughton.

The midfielder was named in Ghana’s 27-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) announced on Monday, January 1, 2024.

Hughton added: “We are expecting [Mohammed Kudus] to join the group hopefully in a few days.

He has a very slight injury issue that needs to be dealt with before he joins camp but we’re hopeful,” Hughton told the press on new years day.

That was also confirmed by our source at the London Stadium who said that the No 14 has sadly developed a slight hamstring injury.

However, he explained that it is not bad enough to keep him from playing his part in the Afcon tournament although he added that it would probably be seven to ten days before he left London to join the squad
