Kudus leaving Hammer in the shade
Said Benrahma will be very concerned at West Ham developments over the last couple of matches with Mohammad Kudus leaving him very much in the shade.
The former Brentford player was once considered inconsistent but over games this season he has simply been in poor form, looks lightweight and there is usually little or no conclusion to those left wing runs.
Kudus, meanwhile, whilst taking time to adjust, is looking more and more like the player we were promised when he was sold by Ajax.
Tomorrow evening could be a key moment for Benny as he would probably expect to be involved at some level during the game in Greece with David Moyes no doubt ready to make various changes.
Kudus leaving Hammer in the shade
I don’t expect him to start and should he not appear as a sub either then we may be starting to see the beginning of the end for the Algeria international. It may or may not have been a coincidence that his exclusion from the Villa game came so soon after an altercation with his national team boss during the break.
Benrahma form leaving him in the shade
David Moyes has experienced that element of his behaviour in the player’s early days at West Ham and may have taken note. To be frank though it is far more likely that his form is the major reason for his current fringe position in the squad after making seven Premier League appearances ahead of the Villa game.
Here’s is the possible – maybe probable starting eleven – for the game in Greece; Fabianski; Kehrer, Mavropanos, Ogbonna, Johnson; Alvarez, Ward-Prowse, Fornals, Kudus, Bowen, Ings.
