Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s worst fears may be about to become reality, following reports that Chelsea are now negotiating with West Ham over the transfer of Mohammed Kudus.

Earlier today, Ben Jacobs revealed that Levy was growing increasingly concerned the Hammers would agree to sell the Ghanaian winger to their West London rivals. Jacobs reiterated the well-established asking price of £65–70 million, a figure Tottenham have not come close to meeting with bids of £50m & £55m.

This followed wild speculation suggesting there was a so-called “Tottenham tax”—a higher price the Hammers would allegedly demand if selling to Spurs.

In truth, the £65 million price tag applies to all interested clubs, and Chelsea’s late move into the race has certainly added some spice.

According to a breaking report from TeamTalk, there is now open dialogue between Chelsea and West Ham over a possible deal.

Whether Chelsea’s interest will force Daniel Levy to meet David Sullivan’s demands remains to be seen—but for the first time this window, it feels like West Ham might be getting the mini bidding war they’ve been waiting for.

I don’t understand why we just don’t keep him. Play him in his correct position. We don’t need a total revamp of the squad. The team needs to be set up and trained to attack a game instead of siege mentality since David Moyes first arrived. On occasions last season we showed that when we want to attack a game we can. A proper striker and attacking football wins games. Our directors can put in £90 million of their own money and we don’t break ffp rules etc. I really don’t see the need to break up the team

At the end of the day,he will unfortunately go elsewhere, but as long as the check reads £80+ million so west ham can build and become a top ten team, compete for silver and keep the likes of Bowen,so be it. RIP Jota and silva

i could stomach him going to chelsea being a bit part player as they have such a large squad with lots of quality in it, they will probably this time next be trying to loan kudus out to interested clubs, i would hate to see him go to tottenham because of past history between us and them, and i think he would make tottenham a better team wich i cant understand how the dwarf would allow him to go to tottenham as we were told there was a transfer embargo between us and tottenham after the dont go to bed early tip from david gold when we tried to sign adebayer, so where is sullivans pride and integrity selling to them?

Mazurka and Dewsbury Hall part exchange 🙏🙏🙏

Like Dewsbury Hall but 27 soon so probably little resale value. Think Potter would want the cash to fund his own picks but a loan or two would be useful.
