West Ham Ladies captain Stacey Little has taken to Twitter to complain about a rise in season tickets prices for our last Boleyn season.
After the news was announced she said: “I may play for West Ham but I’m also a West Ham fan who PAYS MY HARD EARNED MONEY like everyone else for my season ticket & I will have an opinion on this.”
She adds: “Full details of prices are at http://www.whufc.com/articles/20150107/farewell-boleyn-plans-taking-shape_2236884_4405133 So they can’t increase season ticket prices cos they’ve already frozen prices going into the last season at Upton Park.
“Instead you have to pay a £75 NON REFUNDABLE deposit!!!or pay it in full. Oh & the deadline date has also been brought forward again. That’s what you get for being a loyal fan!!!”
Other season ticket holders joined her registering their unhappiness at prices together with an early season ticket renewal deadline which the club claim is driven by demand for season tickets in the final year at the Boleyn ground.
After freezing season ticket prices last season, this coming season will see season ticket prices rise by 5 per cent except for junior season tickets which will remain frozen. This will mean a £45 increase for the Adult band 1 ticket holders.
There’s a double whammy too in an earlier than expected renewal deadline. From Monday 16th February16 to 5pm on April 17 2015, current Season Ticket Holders must renew their 2015/16 season by paying the full renewal price or paying a £75 non-refundable deposit.
Any season ticket holder who does not renew between February and April runs the serious risk of losing their seat for the final season.
Any supporter paying the£75 non-refundable deposit will need to pay the balance by 4pm on 31st May 2015.
