Lanzini/Carroll question marks for Moyes

|

David Moyes has left a question mark over Manu Lanzii starting at Arsenal on Sunday admitting he’s not sure the midfielder is “quite there” in terms of fitness.

The manager has some critical decisions to make as he bids to collect something from the game at the Emirates with most believing a couple of more points would see the Irons safe.

He’s also uncertain about full involvement from Andy Carroll who was pretty awesome on his return to action against Stoke on Monday evening.

He said: T“Andy has been training since we went to Miami so he has had a couple of weeks of running. I don’t know about 90 minutes but if we can continue to get him off the bench for half an hour when required it will be more than handy, as it showed in this match.

“Manuel’s another one I think is not quite there. He had a medial ligament problem and his was more an injury doubt. His fitness is fine but we wanted to see if his knee was okay. It’s a matter of time more than anything else.”

We need technically gifted players in midfield we have two Manu and Mario unfortunately they both get knocked off the ball too easily in the premier you need to be strong as well as having other attributes. Koy I thought a bit better than his generally been all season and noble giving his all but his legs gradually giving signs of coming to an end in a very hard premier league. Too many mistakes puts the defence under pressure luckily the brilliant rice and a strong oggy at the back needs extra cover certainly cresswell isn’t it can’t and never has defended well and we need two players in mid who have the energy and cover for our two best players. Busy summer beckons with a very big clear out at our club only hope dithering Dave as his known in the transfer market gets his choices right and is backed by the board if thier still there in summer for a change money wise remembering thier past exploits.

Part of me keeps thinking that if we were to get a decent offer for lanzini. We should take it. The last two season he’s hardly lit the place up and maybe has about two or three good games a season. ….if we were to get silly money for him I would sell and bring in Madison from Norwich and still have some left over towards another player.
