Lanzini hopes fade

|

Reports that Manu Lanzini is ready for Swansea – coupled with declarations from the manager a few days ago that he was hopeful of his involvement – have been denied by the medics at West Ham.

We reported a little earlier that sources inside the club were hopeful for he would be ready for the match and that he was desperate to play but club medics have explained he faces another scan on Monday.

An official website statement says: “He has made good progress, feels much better and will have a control scan on Monday to evaluate if we can push on. We hope he will play some part over the Christmas period.”

The manager too claimed he could be included in Sunday’s squad a few days back saying: “There is a chance Manuel Lanzini might be back for Swansea and even Payet doesn’t look like a long, long time.”

We continue to await the weekend with fingers crossed!

Would rather have him fit & firing & cleared of injury than rush him back & have him crocked again.Anyway im sure Bilic will do whats best for the lad & team.We saw last season what happens when you rush someone back.Carroll was treated ridiculously by Allardyce in my opinion.
