Manuel Lanzini has been named the third best young midfielder playing in Europe.

Calciomercato have revealed the top ten Under 23 midfielders in Europe based on the average grading each player receive in games.

Lanzini has an average grading of 6.541 so far this season which puts him ahead of the likes of Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto and Schalke’s Leon Goretzka. The only two players who are above the West Ham star are Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Weigl and Everton’s Ross Barkley.

The former Argentina youth player has scored three goals in his first 10 Premier League games.

The top ten are named as:
