West Ham have today declared that Manuel Lanzini will return for next weekend’s clash against Stoke at the Boleyn.

The 22 year old midfield creator missed yesterday’s game against Manchester United after taking a knock in training on Friday – apparently after the team had been chosen.

He could have been a massive miss but such was the application and determination of the Hammers side, the team came home with a brilliant point.

The Argentine playmaker, however, will be back for the game against Mark Hughes’ outfit with a source revealing the injury is not serious.

ClaretandHugh was told this morning: “It was very unfortunate but probably typical of our luck at the moment – all the injuries are to key players.

“However, the injury to Manu is minor and the medical staff have no doubts at all that he will be recovered in time for the next match.”

Great news for a change but it will be hard to change the team unless Antonio goes back on the bench,
Should be a great entertaining game as Stoke have invested in some great talent this year as well,
Going to be close again but Carroll could be the difference their defence will have trouble coping with him if he carries on with his return to form

Better get the antipersperant out ??
Lanzini can spray the passes about and avoid the underarm tactics of shawcross ?
Feel sorry for Antonio if he gets dropped as he deserves his chance after yesterdays effort !!

Did m.o.t.d. show the dirty German elbow , missed it last night on TV ? Or did they leave it out ??

The version of match of the day I get to see did show the dirty elbow to the throat. But the fellaini stepping was completely left out.

MOTD did show both incidents after the highlights and all agreed both should of been red cards! Funny how clattenberg didn’t see either, I’m sure he would of if the boot was on the other foot (pardon the pun). Great performance still can’t believe Zarate missed that sitter!
