ClaretandHugh can confirm there are absolutely no issues with Maun Lanzini having returned to Argentine rather than join the rest of the squad in Dubai.
Manu celebrated his 24th birthday yesterday and Slaven decided to let him travel home to be with his family for a couple of days.
The plan now is that the midfield ace – and a player the manager believes will become as influential as the disgraced Dimitri Payet – will travel to Dubai over the next couple of days and return to London with the rest of the squad.
Lanzini had given an interview in which he had said that he would like to return to Argentine outfit River Plate but that was obviously intended to mean at a much later stage of his career.
An insider told us: “He was allowed to fly back home to spend time with family and will rejoin the squad in Dubai before flying back to London. He is very settled and is a big part of our future.”
3 articles on Lanzini in 2 days tut tut. The sites new content editor DanSee isn’t gonna like that. Mind if he took the trouble to read them, alaways a good idea before opening your trap, he will find they’re actually positive explanations on the positions so that people don’t take the situation out of context. How many more days to the next game dad?
DanSee or rather Dan C..i wonder who that could have been lol
Am I the only one who remembers a few months ago a story of payet going home but not to worry it was to celebrate the team where he was born, he didn’t play again for us now lanzini says he wants to return home is let go to celebrate, just saying
It wasn’t his birthday – he wasn’t at the start of a near two week break . Lanzini’s going nowhere mate
Loads of foreign players are given time to go back to their country of origin when there are extended breaks. Its good for them & good for the club if they comeback refreshed & happy after some home time.
Fans will take these media snippets how they choose to.Conspiracy theorists will jump the gun & see it as a sure sign he will leave.Much like Antonio in his Sky interview when being non-comittal about signing a new contract if offered to him.I wouldnt expect him to categorically state YES i will sign it.Much can happen in football and im sure some fans would remember and never let him forget if he had outright said yes then left.
Antman only signed a new contract in the summer didnt he.The way i read it was Sky said it was there understanding he would be offered a new one this summer.
Well he will either sign it if one is offered or naff off, nothing we can do about it so whats the point in worrying about it 😁
No he will be off in the summer. The drama queens are already freaking out about it.Its a PR disaster and all the usual baloney the wrinkles with nothing better to do with their lives come out with
