West Ham star Manuel Lanzini has been quoted as saying he wants to return to his former club River Plate where he says he is a fan.
The quote was reported by Argentinan TV channel TYC Sports in Spanish which when translated to English said: “My future is in River, I’m going to return to the club of which I am fan”
We know these quotes are often taken out of context from a much larger interview or are lost in translation along the way. No time scale was given of when he would like to return to Argentina or what was meant from his words.
Born in Buenos Aires, Lanzini made his professional debut for River Plate as a 17-year-old in 2010. He then spent the 2011–12 season on-loan with Fluminense in Brazil. He returned from a loan in the summer of 2012 and took the number 10 shirt. He scored his first goal for the club in a 1–2 home defeat to Belgrano, in the first game of the season.
He went on to make 84 apperances for River Plate scoring 12 times before leaving in 2014 to UAE Al Jazira.
Well as we have seen players are transient in fact the only constant is us, the fans.
Sigh
