Lanzini set for Blackburn return

lanziniWest ham Chairman, David Gold says he is hopeful the Manuel Lanzini will travel with the Hammers squad to Blackburn for the fifth round FA Cup match at Ewood park on Sunday.

Gold posted on twitter today “I’m hoping Lanzini travels to Blackburn. dg”

Ten days ago Bilic confirmed Lanzini has resumed first team training saying “On Sunday (7th Feb)  Lanzini will start training with the team again, which is a big boost for us,”  while head of medical and sports science Stijn Vandenbroucke told the club’s official website.“Lanzini is only a few days away before re-joining the team.”

Lanzini is thought unlikely to start but there is a strong possibility he will make the bench and could feature in a small cameo role as he attempts to regain his match fitness.

  1. The quicker he starts playing the better , the pressure on payet is huge at the moment and lanzini will be a god send . Sakho will be a big boost to ! Fingers crossed for carol on the injury front , who was excellent v Norwich , on another front I watched spuds and city on stream and couldn’t believe the luck they had with rebounds and deflections always ending up with them ! Spuds are and have been very fortunate this year . ( so far ) IMO the bubble can’t last all season , it will burst !! I hope it starts with us ! I’m sure motivation will not be a problem for us .

  2. Will be good to see Lanzini back and it will give opposition teams more to think about when we have him and Payet in the team. However, we shouldn’t rush him back for Blackburn as it’s more important that he stays fit for the remainder of the season.
