Lanzini sticks to his guns

|

Manuel Lanzini remains concerned about a return to Premier League football.

Earlier this month Lanzini told Argentian Radio station Closs Continental: “It would be crazy to play again until there is a vaccine.” adding “I would not start now.”

Fellow Hammer Fabian Balbuena was reported to have said last week hat many West Ham players do not want to play but later backtracked saying his comments to a Paraguayan radio station were taken completely out of context and were lost in translation.

Claret and Hugh understand Lanzini is making no such counterclaim that his words were twisted or mistranslated and he stands by his comments according to one insider.

Captain Mark Noble is also claimed to have been very vocal in Premier League meetings voicing safety concerns for his teammates.

Over the weekend Raheem Sterling and Wayne Rooney added their words of caution that football was returning too soon in England.
