Lanzini to fly back to UK for treatment

|

Lanzini-PhotoManuel Lanzini will fly back to England for treatment West Ham co-Chairman David Gold has confirmed this afternoon.

The 23-year-old was part of the Argentina squad currently preparing for the Rio Olympics. Argentina’s official twitter account confirmed the injury saying “Manuel Lanzini, before Colombia suffered a sprain in his left knee”

However, it could appear that Lanzini may be missing for a while longer as he is flying back to the UK for further assessment and treatment. David Gold tweeted when asked about the West Ham midfielder’s knock “Expecting Lanzini to return for treatment. dg”

It now looks likely Lanzini will miss out on his Olympic chance in Rio. Let’s hope his knee injury is not too serious and he returns quickly to full fitness ahead of the Premier League season.

As long as he is fit for us not worried about Olympics,
We need him fit in case Payet suffers a problem

More concerned about Cresswell to be honest . It looks longer term and the sad thing is we will definitely miss him . He will also miss out on what would have been a near certain England call up .

If he is coming home its not a sprain ?
He will stay and be treated for his problem , Argentina have top medics , why send him home if it is a knee sprain , which by the way I have never heard of ,
He has injured his knee , a twist , ligament , impact. ( cresswell ) he has hurt it and is coming home , can’t see the point sending him home to then send him back for a minor injury !!

sprain means – torn, twisted, stretched ligaments, and normally if more than one.

They can be minor or severe, but people use the term “sprain” thinking its minor but medically its used with anything from torn ligaments to a minor stretched ligament.

then would have different grades of sprains just like muscle tears

    Grade 1, 2, 3 etc

Never heard that one danny ?
Let’s hope its not torn twisted and stretched ?
