Lanzini worry

Manu Lanzini has picked up a knock whilst on international duty.

And although it is unlikely to keep him out of the match against Southampton this weekend it comes as a minor worry at  the wrong time.

The precise nature of the injury is not known at this stage early reports are that it will keep him out of the Argentine fixture against Spain tomorrow evening (Tues).

However, it is not advisable to read too much into that as having played in the previous match national boss Jorge Sampaoli was set to make changes to the starting X1 anyway.

ClaretandHugh was told the injury does not appear to be overly worrying and that the Hammers are confident the midfielder will be available for the crucial cash at the London Stadium.

Edmilson Fernandes is available for the match after a long lay off but a decision on James Collins’s involvement will have to wait until nearer the game after his hamstring injury brought him off as a precaution in the friendly against Dagenham and Redbridge.
