Lanzini’s spirits are raised in Iceland

Manuel Lanzini has posted a photo of enjoying himself in Iceland with his girlfriend as he takes a short break from his recovery from surgery. However, his West Ham team mates have found the post hilarious for publishing just an intimate picture. Lets hope he doesn’t sustain any further injury in the pool 😉

Last week Lanzini posted a video to his Instagram of himself kicking a ball to show his progress

The midfielder had originally been expected to miss all of the 2018/2019 season after tearing the ACL in his right knee in training with Argentina in Barcelona ahead of the World Cup but he is now expected to return as early as January.

Last moth he provided an update saying “It was very hard when my knee was broken before the World Cup but now I am thinking of the future and now I am happy. “[My surgeon] Ramon Cugat was very good for me. The surgery was good and everything really was very good. My knee is feeling very comfortable and stable and this is very important. I am taking things day by day and I am feeling good, comfortable and stable and I am ready to keep going like this and we will see. Now, I am working on the bike with the Bosu [balance trainer] and am doing activation and work on my quadriceps and hamstring, all in the gym”

  1. I daresay it would be an injury worth sustaining!! Not sure his pride will get off as lightly in the dressing room! 🙂
