Lanzini/Tore injury update

Manuel+Lanzini+West+Ham+United+v+SV+Werder+0Pg6_ic94sIlManu Lanzini will be missing from the Hammers action for anything between three to six weeks.

The brilliant midfielder – injured while on international duty for Argentina ahead of the Rio Olympics – flew back into the UK earlier in the week and after scans at Spire Roding Hospital has been told that he has suffered a soft tissue knee injury.

There is no break and the club are relieved that he will not be out for an extended period with a ClaretandHugh source explaining: “Of course we wanted him from the start of the season and it’s not the greatest news but perhaps better than expected.”

Meanwhile Gokhan Tore – who missed last night’s Europa Cup defeat in Slovenia – will be available for the second leg match at the London Stadium next week.

ClaretandHugh was told: “It was nothing beyond a training round knock and he will be available for selection.

“We just felt it was sensible to take no chances at this point in the campaign.

  1. Other sites are claiming that Lanzini is out for 3-4 months and that Tore could require surgery that will also keep him out for several months.

Hope you are correct and they are wrong.

  2. Just goes to show that most of these sites are just guessing!!
Just the same as those idiots who say ” a spokesman close to the player or club”. Who are these idiots. Never believe a word they are saying.

  3. We should have a strong squad by Xmas !!

  4. We need Santa to come early iron ?
